Meet The Characters
Gary Palmer - Track Owner
Gary's usual easy-going manner and successful management of Accord Speedway have made him highly respected in the industry and the local racing community. However, just beneath the laid-back persona is a no-nonsense businessman - not to be crossed by track employees, drivers, crews, or sponsors. A devoted husband and father, Gary takes great pride in the track and what he and his family have made of it. Obsessed with perfection, Gary is often teased by family and friends for his meticulous ways. His business savvy, warm nature, and drive for perfection will strike an instant chord with the viewing audience.

Donna Palmer - Track Owner
While her husband may be more of a "big picture" manager, Donna is certainly the more practical - keeping a close eye on Gary and the bottom line. Responsible for all track finances -- from debt service to ordering hotdogs and beer for the next race - Donna acts as a constant check on Gary's grander schemes. Together, the two have made a very successful and very likeable team - both on and off the track.

Gary Jr. (son) & Sara (daughter) - Assistant Manager & Pay Master

Assisted by their son Gary Jr., Daughter Sara and 45 part-time employees, Dirt Track will depict their weekly struggles and all the chaos/comedy of errors involved in getting the track ready for race night, their interaction with the drivers, crew, employees, and fans. Fans will be drawn to the Happy-go-lucky ways of part time college student Gary Jr. His constant thirst for a good time can often cause friction with Gary Sr.'s work ethic and no nonsense ways. Sara, an art student, prefers a paintbrush and canvas, but Gary Sr. has placed her in the most confrontational position as the prize money paymaster. Sara's flirtatious ways make her an instant attraction to the drivers and their crews.

John McGill - Driver
A 42-year-old father of two young boys. Early in his career John experienced brushes with success. As a boy he dreamed of being a NASCAR driver. After many years of heartbreaks and disappointments, John gave it all up for a safer path as a union forklift operator. John's crew is comprised of guys he has known since high school. Their humor and persona will surely make them fan favorites in season one. John constantly feels the pressure of not letting his "TEAM" down as well as the responsibility of helping his wife with their young family. John also has the added pressure of having a sponsor on his tail that expects John's team to "ALWAYS" do better. Johns colorful personality and cartoon character looks has made him easily the most popular driver at Accord. John is legendary at Accord..mostly from his free spirited ways and never winning a race.

Nicole - Driver
She is 19 years old and has dreams of racing professionally. It's tough enough for a female to be in a sport so dominated by men, it's even tougher being only 18 years old and racing at Accord. She and her family spend ALL their free time and money on racing. Nicole's father Mike, a tile installer estimates that they spend $25,000 a year on racing. Every week the family drives from their home in Danbury, Ct. to Accord Speedway to support Nicole. When they are not racing, they are in their garage (located at their house) working 20 plus hours per week on Nicole's racecar. With the Tracy's, it truly is a family affair.
